When is a proforma invoice used?
For advance payments, export orders, bank or import approvals, and for buyers who need a formal price document before placing the order. The tax invoice is issued when the goods are supplied.

Is a proforma invoice valid for GST?
No. You cannot claim or collect GST on a proforma invoice. Issue a tax invoice at the time of supply.
Can I collect advance payment against it?
Yes. Add your bank details and UPI ID; the PDF shows a QR code with the amount.
