QR code generator

Make a QR code for your shop’s website, WhatsApp number, Wi-Fi or contact details. It never expires and works without an account.

Look

Keep a dark colour on a light background. Light QR codes on dark backgrounds do not scan on many phones.

Test the QR code with your own phone before printing it.

Runs in your browser. Nothing you enter is sent to us or stored on our server.

How to use the QR code generator

  1. Pick what the QR code should do: open a link, start a WhatsApp chat, call, email, join Wi-Fi or save your contact.
  2. Fill in the details. The preview updates as you type.
  3. Choose the download size, error correction and colour if you want.
  4. Download PNG for WhatsApp, bills and posters, or SVG for a printer or sign-board maker.
  5. Scan it with your own phone before you print.

Does this QR code expire?

No. The details are stored inside the QR code itself (a “static” QR code), not on any server, so it keeps working as long as the link or number in it is valid. The flip side is that you cannot change it after printing; make a new one if your number or link changes.

Which error correction should I choose?

Error correction lets a QR code scan even if part of it is dirty or torn. Medium suits most uses. Choose High or Highest for stickers on counters, delivery boxes or outdoor boards, where the code may get scratched. Higher correction makes the pattern denser, so print it a little bigger.

Questions people ask

Can I make a QR code for my WhatsApp number?

Yes. Choose WhatsApp, enter your number and an optional ready message such as “Hi, I want to place an order”. When customers scan it, WhatsApp opens a chat with you with that message typed in.

How do I share my shop Wi-Fi with a QR code?

Choose Wi-Fi, type the network name and password exactly as they are (they are case-sensitive) and pick the security type, usually WPA. Most Android phones and iPhones join the network straight from the camera.

Is this QR code for UPI payments?

No. For payments use the UPI QR code generator, which builds the correct upi://pay link and a printable “Scan & pay” card.

What size should I print a QR code?

At least 2 × 2 cm for something held in the hand, like a visiting card or bill, and bigger for posters read from a distance (roughly one tenth of the scanning distance). Download the 1000 or 2000 px PNG, or the SVG, for print.

Is my information saved anywhere?

No. The QR code is made in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to our server.
