How to use the WhatsApp payment reminder
- Enter the customer's name and, if you want, their mobile number.
- Enter the amount due, and the invoice number and date if you have them.
- Add your business name and UPI ID so the customer can pay straight away.
- Pick a tone: polite, firm or final reminder.
- Tap Copy, or Open in WhatsApp to send the message.
Which tone to use
Start polite – most late payments are simply forgotten. Use the firm message when the due date has passed and a polite reminder got no reply. Keep the final reminder for long-pending dues, and only state consequences you will actually follow through on, such as stopping further credit.
Get paid faster
Always mention the exact amount and the bill number so there is no confusion, and include your UPI ID so the customer can pay in the same moment. Sending the reminder in the language the customer is comfortable with also helps.
Questions people ask
Does the WhatsApp button send the message automatically?
No. It opens WhatsApp with the message typed in. You check it and tap send yourself. With a mobile number it opens that chat; without one, WhatsApp asks you to pick a contact.
Can I edit the message?
Yes. Edit the text in the box before you copy or open WhatsApp – your edits are used.
Is my customer's data saved anywhere?
No. The message is made in your browser. Only your business name and UPI ID are remembered on your own device for next time.
How often should I send payment reminders?
A common pattern is a polite note a few days before or on the due date, a firm reminder about a week after, and a final reminder only for long-pending amounts. Billing software can send these automatically.
