When should you give a payment receipt?
Whenever you receive money – a part payment, an advance or the full bill amount – a receipt is proof for both sides that it was paid, how and against which invoice. It avoids disputes when settling udhaar or outstanding balances later.
Is a payment receipt the same as an invoice?
No. An invoice asks for payment for goods or services; a receipt confirms that money was received. This simple receipt is not a GST tax invoice. If you are GST-registered, the tax invoice still has to be issued for the supply.

Yes. There is no signup and no limit. The receipt is made in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us.
How do I save the receipt as a PDF?
Click Print / Save as PDF and choose Save as PDF as the printer. On a phone, use the Save as PDF or Share option on the print screen.
Do I need a revenue stamp on a receipt?
Under the Indian Stamp Act, a receipt for more than ₹5,000 generally needs a revenue stamp, mainly when the payment is in cash. Payments by cheque, UPI or bank transfer leave their own record. Check the rule that applies to you if the amount is large.
Can I add my logo and signature?
Yes. Upload a logo and a signature image. They are kept on this device only.
Can I keep a record of every receipt?
This tool does not store receipts. Billing software such as Vyapar records payments against each customer's account, so you always know who owes how much.
